EQUIVOCATION running through May 7!

April 2016

My current project is playing Judith, the daughter of William Shakespeare, in EQUIVOCATION at the Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern.  This unique, laugh-out-loud-funny, compelling play has one foot in 1605, and the other firmly planted in the 21st century.   Tickets at www.ShakespeareTavern.com!

Another Weather Channel spot!

March 2016

The Weather Channel brought me back for another commercial!  I spent a day on set in the (manufactured) rain, promoting the new mobile phone app.  Didn't even get wet!

THE MOUSETRAP sells out at Hilton Head!

Feb 2015

I had great fun screaming and being strangled in Agatha Christie's THE MOUSETRAP at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina.  The entire run was a sell-out-- even the added performances!  I adored hearing the audiences gasping, murmuring, and laughing as they figured out "whodunnit."

Shooting a Weather Channel promo with Sam Champion

July 2015

Look for me on the Weather Channel this fall!  Imagine being stuck in an elevator with Sam Champion, and getting your own personalized forecast-- that's what I got to do!  (He's a really nice guy, btw.)

SILENT SKY sells out at Theatrical Outfit

March 2015

Lauren Gunderson's beautiful play about astronomer Henrietta Leavitt was so enthusiastically received by Atlanta critics and audiences that we added an extra week of performances!  Playing Leavitt was en experience I will never forget, and our entire cast was nominated for a Suzi Bass Award, for Best Ensemble in a Play!

"Selma" screening at the Macon Film Festival

January 2015

An incredible night meeting several fellow castmates from "Selma" in at a special screening hosted by the Macon Film Festival.  Center is Tara Ochs (Viola Liuzzo) and Clay Chappell (the Registrar), with three of the girls from the Birmingham church bombing (from left, Trinity Simone, Ebony Billups, and Jordan Christina Rice).

The 2014 Suzi Bass Awards

November 2014

The Suzi Awards celebrate the best in Atlanta theatre, and I attended as a nominee for Outstanding Ensemble of a Play for Theatrical Outfit's DIVIDING THE ESTATE (April 2014).  I wore a vintage 1966 silk brocade gown, and had fun with my friends, including fellow nominee Christy Baggett and Suzi winner Neal Ghant (pictured).

Taping "Being Mary Jane" for BET

July 2014

I spent a fun night on set with lovely Gabrielle Union.  I played Elizabeth Foy, a charter schools activist promoting her book on a talk show-- and sparks fly during the interview!  My character can be seen in episode 210, "Prime Time."

SELMA shooting in Atlanta

June 2014

I am playing Marie Reeb, wife of the Rev. James Reeb (who was martyred in Selma, Alabama) in the feature film SELMA, currently shooting in Atlanta and on location in Selma.  I am so honored to be part of telling this story.  Pictured: on set with Ava DuVernay (screenwriter and director) and Jeremy Strong, who plays James Reeb.

Shooting a bank commercial with Chewie, the stunt cat!

May 2014

I spent a fun day on set in Richmond, Virginia, shooting a bank commercial directed by Jim Bartolomeo.  I did not know there was such a thing as a "stunt cat," but Chewie (pictured, with Dupree Lewis) was a trooper.
